Immerse yourself in this full-day course where you'll begin building a foundation of knowledge around laser use in dentistry. Everything from clinical applications to return on investment will be covered in this 3-part workshop. This is the workshop you need to transform your career and practice.
Lasers have become a valuable adjunct tool for soft and hard tissue management in general dental practices. With appropriate training and understanding, the benefits that laser technology brings to clinicians and patients are vast. Surgical lasers can be used to perform different types of soft tissue surgeries and uncomplicated biopsies, as it can also be used to selectively remove hard tissue. Furthermore, lasers can be utilized to manage oral manifestations of systemic diseases such as xerostomia, ulcers, and sensory alterations.
This day workshop consists of two informative sessions (morning and afternoon). Several cases presenting clinical challenges of pathology, acute and chronic pain will be introduced in the morning session. A guided discussion on traditional management will be facilitated followed by laser intervention as an alternative treatment modality. Presenters will discuss the clinical sequence of such treatments and overall outcomes. In the afternoon session, participants will utilize an online tool* to quickly and efficiently locate the best evidence to answer their clinical questions regarding laser parameters, treatment feasibility, and patient’s wellbeing.
Presenters will engage the audience by fostering a welcoming environment for questions, comments, and feedback, as the aim of this workshop is to inform and equip participants to implement similar practices using laser technology.
*Personal laptops/iPads with Wi-Fi is encouraged
