Will my ALD 2020 conference registration be refunded?

We are working to issue registration fee refunds as soon as possible. You have a choice to receive a full 100% refund of registration fees paid, or have it applied to ALD’s 28^th Annual Conference April 8-10, 2021 at the Westin, Alexandria, VA, just outside Washington, DC. Your refund will come in the form of a check and it will be mailed within 8 weeks.

Please let us know your preference for receiving a refund or applying the funds to ALD 2021 by sending an email to memberservices@laserdentistry.org. If we don’t hear from you by March 31^st you will receive a refund check within 8 weeks.

How do I cancel my hotel reservation?

You may have received a notice from Paradise Point that your reservation has been canceled. If you have not received a notice, you must cancel your hotel reservation directly with Paradise Point Resort. Call Paradise Point Reservations 855-463-3361 TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION.

Is ALD refunding flights or other travel costs?

ALD will not refund individual travel costs. Please check with your airline regarding their current refund policies.

Will ALD 2020 take place later this year?

ALD 2020 will not be rescheduled.

How will I be able to earn CE?

ALD is committed to supporting your professional development. We are looking into delivering CE for lasers in dentistry digitally in 2020. We will keep you informed of future opportunities for distance learning and continuing education credits.

My program submission as a speaker was selected for presentation at this year’s conference. Will my session be automatically accepted for next year’s Annual Conference ALD 2021 in Alexandria, VA?

Speakers for 2020 will have the option to present for ALD 2021. ALD will be in touch with more information in the coming weeks. ALD will open abstract submissions in May 2020 for the ALD 2021, April 8-10 at the Westin in Alexandria, Virginia.

I was invited to receive an award during this conference. How will I receive this recognition?

Recognition of your achievement is important to the ALD and the laser dental community. We will contact all award recipients and identify next steps in the coming weeks.

I am nominated to serve on the Board of the Academy of Laser Dentistry? When will I begin my term of service?

The ALD’s General Members vote on the slate of officers and directors. Because the General Membership Meeting will not meet in person, ALD is identifying an alternate method of installing leadership. We will be in touch with you in the coming weeks.

I am an exhibitor or sponsor. To whom do I address questions?
